Financial Accountant

The Financial Accountant supports the Controller and accounting team by analyzing financial data, preparing accurate reports, and maintaining the integrity of financial records and transactions. This role ensures compliance with GAAP standards and supports month-end and year-end close activities while identifying opportunities to improve accounting processes.Key Responsibilities Prepare and reconcile general ledger entries and supporting documentationAssist with monthly financial reports and key metrics using Excel and AderantPerform bank reconciliations and resolve cash or accounts payable discrepanciesMaintain accurate financial records, fixed assets, and support annual reportingInvestigate and resolve accounting discrepancies and billing issuesCollaborate with other departments on accounting-related mattersPrepare 1099-year end reporting and cross-train across accounting functionsIdentify opportunities to improve accounting processes and workflowsJob Requirements Minimum 3 years of hands-on accounting experienceBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred, or 5+ years of relevant accounting experienceStrong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skillsComprehensive knowledge of bank reconciliations and banking statement analysisExperience recording payroll in the general ledger, including payroll journal entry imports and balancing activitiesAbility to manage multiple responsibilities and meet daily, weekly, and monthly deadlinesKey Resource Group, LLC considers applicants for all positions without regard to gender, race, color, religion, national origin, ancestry, age, marital status, sexual orientation, pregnancy, physical or mental disability, citizenship, veteran status, gender expression and/or identity, or any other class protected by federal, state, or local laws.
