Overview of Role
Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the Financial Accountant will work across multiple accounting functions including foreign subsidiary financial reporting, fixed asset accounting, prepaid reconciliations, and expense reporting. This role will be exposed to many areas of our growing business, will also gain international business exposure and support month-end as well as year-end close processes. The Financial Accountant works closely with cross-functional finance teams to analyze account activity, prepare journal entries, and support financial reporting and audit requirements.

Responsibilities (EN):

 

Core Responsibilities

  • Reflect and role model BOA’s vision, values and Leadership Model and demonstrate passion for our mission across the Finance team and rest of the organization
  • Assist in the consolidation of subsidiary reporting packages into NetSuite
  • Account for fixed asset purchases and disposals within NetSuite and related reconciliations
  • Account for all prepaid expense transactions, including preparation of the journal entry to record monthly amortization
  • Assist in processing employee expense reports in Concur and posting the resulting entries in NetSuite
  • Assist with monthly sales/use tax returns
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures
  • Identify and support process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy within the accounting function
  • Assist with ad hoc accounting projects and cross-functional initiatives as needed (for example assisting with AP process)
Qualifications (EN):

 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Finance, Accounting or a related field
  • 3+ years of relevant experience with general ledger and month-end close responsibilities
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting (GAAP)
  • Comfort and proficiency using software programs such as MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint to perform complex accounting functions and present financial reports
  • Ability to collaborate and build relationships with diverse groups of people across the globe
  • Problem-solving mindset focused on identifying appropriate and sustainable solutions
  • Desire to use your organized approach to help us improve our processes

Overview of Compensation and Benefits 

  • Budgeted salary range: $70,000 - $77,000
    • We will determine salary based on skills and experience in relation to the function of the role, as well as equity to any other employees with similar experience in the same or similar role
    • This role is also eligible for a 10% annual bonus
