Our client is seeking a highly motivated Financial Analyst to join their finance team and support financial reporting, analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and operational decision-making within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.This role is ideal for someone with a strong accounting and finance foundation who enjoys digging into the numbers, partnering with operations, and turning data into meaningful business insights. The Financial Analyst will support monthly close, financial statement preparation, variance analysis, state and local tax matters, and ad hoc projects tied to plant and business performance.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare, analyze, and distribute monthly financial statements and supporting schedules.Support monthly close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, variance analysis, and reporting.Analyze actual results versus budget, forecast, and prior year, providing clear explanations of key drivers.Perform financial analysis related to manufacturing results, cost trends, margins, and operating performance.Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting packages.Support state and local tax compliance, filings, and related analysis.Assist with sales and use tax, property tax, and other indirect tax matters as needed.Partner with accounting, finance, and operations teams to improve financial visibility and support business decisions.Use SAP to extract, analyze, and validate financial and operational data.Support internal and external audit requests and help maintain strong internal controls.Participate in ad hoc financial modeling, profitability analysis, pricing support, and special projects.Identify process improvement opportunities related to reporting, analysis, and data accuracy.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.CPA eligible required; CPA or progress toward CPA strongly preferred.2–5+ years of relevant accounting or finance experience.Public accounting experience preferred.Experience with financial statements, month-end close, and financial analysis required.Exposure to state and local tax, sales and use tax, property tax, or indirect tax strongly preferred.SAP experience preferred.Manufacturing experience preferred.Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Ability to communicate financial information clearly to both finance and non-finance teams.Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.Ideal Candidate ProfileStrong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles.Comfortable working with large data sets and translating analysis into actionable insight.Hands-on, proactive, and eager to learn.Able to work cross-functionally with operations, sales, finance, and leadership.Strong follow-through, professionalism, and business judgment.Interested in a role that offers exposure to both accounting and operational finance.Why This OpportunityThis is a great opportunity to join a growing manufacturing business where finance has a direct impact on operational performance and strategic decision-making.
