Job Description Summary
The financial services analyst advisor reports directly to the Vice President, Investments. The analyst is responsible for tracking the company's financial performance, specifically relating to corporate cash management, analyzing and making recommendations for potential investment opportunities, evaluating current investment performance. The position entails enhancing and maintaining Western Growers Financial Services (WGFS) policies, procedures, and internal controls. Position is responsible for supporting the activities relating to revenue growth and measuring performance for the parent company and its affiliates as well as providing investment analysis for clients.
Duties And Responsibilities
Investment Strategy & Portfolio Analyst
- Assess and recommend the direction and management of investment activities for Western Growers, its affiliates, and WGFS clients.
- Support the WGFS President in investment-related functions, including financial planning reports, cash flow monitoring, and investment procurement.
- Conduct investment analysis for corporate and treasury instruments, mutual funds, and other securities across various maturities.
- Analyze market conditions, economic data, and financial trends to evaluate risk and develop solutions and process improvements.
- Identify and propose trading strategies, including enhancements to existing algorithms and development of new ones.
- Develop trade ideas, establish market views, and create asset allocation strategies to support portfolio optimization.
- Prepare board-level presentations on cash flows and investment performance.
Investment Operations & Client Services Specialist

- Maintain a valid • Series 7, 66 or 63 & 65 License
- Maintain a clean DMV record and the ability to travel to locations throughout the U.S. (mainly California and Arizona) up to 25% of the time.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting from an accredited college or university, with two (2) to four (4) years of hands-on experience in the financial sector, particularly in investment-related functions, preferred.
- Prior experience in the broker/dealer industry is highly desired.
- Series 7, 66 or 63 & 65 are required.
- Strong experience with investment portfolio management and accounting e.g. performance management software. Experience with Financial Industry software solutions.
- Advanced experience in working with representatives from banking, the brokerage community, investment management firms, with emphasis on fixed income investments.
- Proven ability to effectively handle concurrent projects in a high paced, multi-task environment, with strong organizational and fixed income trading skills.
- Demonstrated analytical background, strong communication skills, and the judgment and ability to interpret information from many sources and to make time-critical investment recommendations.
- Strong end-user skill with presentation, word-processing and spreadsheet software with particularly excellent ability to operate and develop spreadsheets for formal presentations. Use exceptional skill to provide financial modeling and forecasting.
- Verifiable, clean DMV record and the ability to travel to various locations throughout the U.S. (mainly California and Arizona) up to 25% of the time.
