Job Description

Financial Advisor/Director of Investments

Salary: $130K to $150K, plus 10% discretionary bonus

We are an independent advisory firm committed to comprehensive, values-based wealth management. Our team-oriented culture thrives on collaboration, a strong work ethic, and open communication. We take a holistic view of wealth, one that considers our clients' personal, spiritual, relational, and financial well-being. Our firm believes that everyone is made in God’s image and has been created with particular skills and purpose. Every person deserves respect and we are committed to working diligently in pursuit of stewardship through excellence. We value individuals who have a north star, drive and tenacity as well as a servant attitude. We welcome like-minded professionals to grow with us.

Our approach includes asset protection, estate and retirement planning, cash flow management, tax considerations, and investment advice. We partner with attorneys, tax specialists, and other outside professionals so that each client's full financial picture is covered. We treat every client relationship as a long-term partnership, not a one-time transaction, and we are known for reliable onboarding, clear communication, and responsive service.

We are currently seeking a Financial Advisor/Director of Investments to join our team, working closely with our founder to provide service an existing group of currently “unassigned” households and to build and manage a scalable investment management system for the firm.

  • A sincere commitment to earning each client's trust by doing what's best for them
  • Exceptional listening and communication skills, with a genuine curiosity about people

  • A self-start mindset with strong time management and the ability to balance competing priorities.
  • Careful attention to detail combined with the ability to move work forward efficiently
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport easily with clients, colleagues, and community contacts.
  • Persistence, patience and tenacity
  • Adherence to rules established by the firm and the industry
  • Strong character and positive attitude critically important
  • Coachable and open to feedback, with the discipline to accept an established plan and pace while training
  • Willingness to share a point of view, while accepting that a different approach may be chosen
  •  A collaborative mindset early on, shifting toward greater autonomy as trust and experience are built

What You Can Expect to Do

  • Serve as a Lead Service Advisor working closely with our founder to develop and deepen client relationships and serve a group of currently “unassigned”
  • Conduct service meetings – using model – scripting, protocol and procedures
  • Build client meeting volume over time, working toward several client meetings a day alongside the founder or a junior advisor
  • Guide clients through significant life events, including client deaths, and work directly with beneficiaries
  • Support new client growth, largely through referrals from existing clients and relationships
  • Participate in daily team huddles and firm routines
  • Develop and manage a scalable, firm-wide investment management system
  • Spend time on the investment side, potentially helping lead the investment committee and support modeling and scaling work

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience in financial planning or wealth management, including experience in an advisory role
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • CFA desired (required within two years)
  • CFP preferred
  • Series 66, or Series 63 and 65, required
  • Demonstrated relationship management experience and the ability to establish trust with new clients
  • Experience working with CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and online client portals

We welcome a diverse pool of applicants from various backgrounds and encourage you to apply to learn more about what our firm offers and whether it might be a great fit for both of us. We look forward to meeting you.
