    Job Description

    JOB DESCRIPTION

We’re seeking a Financial Advisor to join its Olympia, WA team and become an integral part of an established wealth-management practice.

This role is designed to initially work closely with the firm's Executive Director of Wealth Management, serving as the right hand and learning the firm's clients, processes, planning philosophy, and service model.

Months 1–12: Onboarding & Integration — Your primary focus will be learning Capstone's clients, processes, planning philosophy, and building trust. Year 2+: Growth Phase — Once fully integrated, we expect you to contribute approximately $8M–$12M in new AUM annually, demonstrating your growth mindset and ability to identify opportunities within our existing book and through organic referrals.

Over time, this individual will be positioned to take over a significant portion of the client relationships as part of the transition period.

The ideal candidate is an experienced wealth-management professional with a strong RIA foundation, hands-on client-facing experience, and a genuine interest in financial planning and relationship management. The person must also be growth-oriented and highly coachable, with the ability to identify opportunities to deepen existing relationships, generate referrals, and contribute to the firm's long-term growth.

This is an excellent opportunity for an advisor who wants to join a collaborative team where they can build long-term client relationships, expand their financial-planning capabilities, and grow into a significant role within an established practice.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    Client Relationship Management

    • Build trusted, long-term relationships with existing Capstone clients and prospective clients.
    • Work closely with Executive Director to learn and understand the client relationships, preferences, financial situations, and service expectations.
    • Participate in client review meetings across varying cadences, including quarterly, semi-annual, tri-annual, and annual meetings.
    • Gradually assume greater responsibility for the client relationships and become a trusted advisor to those households.
    • Provide a high-touch, personalized client experience consistent with Capstone's relationship-driven philosophy.
    • Listen carefully to client goals and concerns and provide thoughtful options, recommendations, and education.

    Financial Planning & Wealth Management

    • Conduct client financial reviews and help evaluate progress toward financial goals.
    • Support retirement planning, cash-flow analysis, investment planning, and other financial-planning needs.
    • Prepare for client meetings by reviewing financial information, identifying opportunities, and developing appropriate recommendations.
    • Use financial-planning software to build and maintain client plans.
    • Handle advisor-level client service needs while partnering with the administrative team on operational matters.
    • Help clients navigate major financial events such as retirement, inheritance, insurance events, and other life transitions.
    • Collaborate with Capstone's broader advisory and planning team to provide comprehensive client solutions.

    Practice Development & Growth

    • You will inherit an established client base through transition. Growth comes primarily from deepening existing relationships, earning referrals from satisfied clients, and identifying unmet needs within the practice
    • Cultivate organic growth through client referrals and relationships.
    • Identify opportunities resulting from retirement, inheritance, and other significant financial events.
    • Contribute to the firm's long-term AUM growth once fully integrated into the practice.
    • Over time, work toward an aspirational benchmark of approximately $8M–$12M in annual new AUM, recognizing that this is a long-term growth benchmark rather than a first-year quota.

    Team Collaboration

    • Work collaboratively with advisors, CFPs, portfolio management, and the administrative team.
    • Communicate proactively and keep teammates informed without requiring micromanagement.
    • Ask questions and seek guidance when needed.
    • Accept feedback openly and use mistakes as opportunities to learn and improve.
    • Contribute to a supportive team environment where advisors help one another serve clients effectively.
