Financial Advisor – Retirement Income Focus

Overview

A well-established and rapidly growing retirement-focused financial planning firm is adding experienced Financial Advisors to support continued growth driven by a proven educational seminar model.

This is not a cold-calling role, wirehouse seat, or “build-your-own-pipeline” position. The firm provides a consistent flow of pre-qualified retirement prospects. Advisors are expected to consult, educate, and convert those opportunities into comprehensive planning relationships.

This opportunity is ideal for an advisor who has achieved solid success, feels capped by their current platform, and is ready to operate within a model designed for significantly higher income and production.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Present retirement planning concepts at educational dinner seminars (minimum one per week)
  • Conduct follow-up consultations with seminar attendees
  • Design and implement retirement income strategies, including annuities and advisory solutions
  • Guide clients through Social Security planning and Medicare considerations
  • Identify tax, asset protection, and basic estate planning needs and collaborate with in-house or partner professionals
  • Close new business and grow long-term recurring revenue relationships
  • Participate fully in the client lifecycle from initial presentation through implementation

Who This Role Fits Best

Required / Strongly Preferred

  • 10+ years of financial advisory or retirement planning experience (15+ preferred)
  • Proven success in retirement income planning and annuity production
  • Client-facing sales and closing ability
  • Comfort meeting with clients in the evenings
  • Ability to work in-office full time
  • Willingness to present or participate in seminars (directly or collaboratively)

Ideal Backgrounds

  • Advisors currently earning roughly $200K–$300K who feel capped by payout grids or limited lead flow
  • Strong in-meeting closers, whether or not you lead seminars yourself
  • Public speakers who are confident educating groups of 20–60+ prospects
  • Advisors who enjoy collaborative, comprehensive planning—not product-only sales

Estate planning familiarity is a plus (wills, trusts, asset transfer concepts), though legal expertise is not required.

Services You’ll Cover

Advisors operate in a comprehensive retirement planning model, including:

  • Retirement income strategies and annuity solutions
  • Wealth accumulation and asset transition
  • Social Security optimization
  • Medicare guidance
  • Asset protection and tax-aware planning
  • Coordination with CPAs and estate planning professionals

You are not expected to be an expert in everything—but you must be able to confidently guide the conversation and bring in the right resources.

Location & Schedule Expectations

  • Full-time, in-office role
  • Evening availability is required due to seminars and client meetings
  • Candidates must live within a reasonable commute to Central New Jersey
    • New Jersey preferred
    • Eastern Pennsylvania near NJ border considered
    • Staten Island may be considered
    • NYC and long-distance commutes are not a fit

Compensation

Highly competitive and performance-driven, with flexibility based on experience and production.

  • Base Salary: $60,000–$100,000+
    • Up to $150,000+ base for advisors bringing a transferable book of business
  • Annuity Production Compensation: Significant participation in annuity revenue
  • Recurring Advisory Revenue: Ongoing participation in AUM-based revenue
  • Total Realistic Earnings: $300,000–$500,000+
    • Elite producers may exceed this based on performance and fit
