Job Summary
The Financial Aid Advisor is responsible for assisting students through the financial aid process while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and institutional regulations. This role supports prospective and current students in securing funding for their education and maintains accurate records in accordance with regulatory requirements.



Key Responsibilities


  •  Advise prospective and enrolled students on available financial aid options, including grants, loans, and payment plans.
  • Assist students with completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and required documentation.
  • Guide students through federal student loan processes, including Master Promissory Note (MPN) and Entrance Counseling requirements.
  • Review financial aid applications for completeness and accuracy.
  • Provide & Review Financial Aid estimate
  • Maintain accurate financial aid records and documentation for audits and compliance reviews.
  • Counsel students regarding financial responsibilities and graduation requirements
  • Work collaboratively with admissions, education, and administrative departments to ensure a smooth enrollment and funding process.
  • Participate in compliance reviews, program reviews, and audits as required.


Qualifications


  •  1–2 years of experience in financial aid administration or higher education preferred but not required
  • Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information
