Financial Aid Representative - 199231

The Financial Aid Representative serves as a point of contact for students and parents, providing accurate and timely assistance with financial aid programs, eligibility, application procedures, awards, and costs. The position supports undergraduate and graduate students across Pace University's New York City and Pleasantville campuses.

The representative handles a high volume of phone calls and electronic inquiries, provides individualized assistance, and supports daily financial aid operations and systems processing.

Position Duties

• Answer a high volume of inbound calls and provide accurate, timely, and knowledgeable financial aid assistance.
• Counsel students and families regarding financial aid programs, eligibility, requirements, awards, and deadlines.
• Conduct outbound call campaigns and respond to email and Financial Aid Help Desk inquiries.
• Assist with the review of financial aid documentation and index documents in the Next Gen Document System.
• Navigate financial aid management systems to review records and resolve questions.
• Provide consistent, professional, and customer-focused service.
• Assist with daily financial aid operations, as needed.
• Performs other such duties as may be assigned from time to time.

Position Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Customer service experience required; financial aid and Ellucian Banner experience strongly preferred.
• Excellent verbal, written, and telephone communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage high call volume while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.
• Ability to learn and navigate multiple systems and applications.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Strong typing and data-entry skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Work Hours

Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.

This is a hybrid position that is primarily remote, with occasional on-campus attendance for meetings, training, and operational or coverage needs. With advance notice, the candidate must be able to commute to Pace University's New York City, Pleasantville, and White Plains campuses as needed. Initial training will be done in person.
