The Kind of Work Youll be Doing:

  • Use budgeting and accounting skills to prepare, analyze and present budget information.
  • Prepare professional reports and presentations from data analysis for finance and executive leadership to support decision making with minimal supervision or leadership review required.
  • Work to identify anomalies and key trends in budget versus actual data and turn that data into actionable insight.
  • Design and develop reports to track metrics and monitor activity fluctuations.
  • Educate staff through frequent, high quality communication, both written and in person as needed. Answer financial questions for staff as needed.
  • Analyze and reconcile General Ledger accounts to verify accuracy of the data and to identify problem areas. Prepare journal entries for accruals, reclasses, and write offs of obsolete inventory to ensure proper posting of financial reports.
  • Utilize existing reports and create new financial reports to extract financial data from PeopleSoft as needed.
  • Provide instruction to leaders and administrators to increase proficiency in common financial processes such as check requests, contracts, and expense reports.
  • Prepare, review, approve or sign various financial documents as needed.
  • Organize financial resources by creating new chart fields, designation numbers, and projects as required.
  • Perform a variety of ministry financial projects using OneStream, PeopleSoft Financial Management, Power BI, and Microsoft Excel.

Required Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
  • A minimum of 3 years of professional financial analyst or accounting experience required.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Experience using OneStream and Power BI preferred
