Summary:
We are seeking a detail oriented, analytical Financial Analyst for a company in Athens, Ohio to support budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and data driven decision making across the organization. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys digging into numbers, identifying trends, and translating financial insights into clear, actionable recommendations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including variance analyses and performance summaries
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support forecasting, budgeting, and scenario planning
  • Analyze financial data, trends, and key performance metrics to identify risks, opportunities, and operational insights
  • Compare actual results to plans and forecasts, highlighting drivers of change and recommending corrective actions
  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and long range financial plans
  • Create projections and dashboards that support leadership decision making
  • Maintain organized financial documentation and ensure accuracy across reports and data sources
  • Collaborate with internal teams to gather data, validate assumptions, and support cross departmental financial needs
  • Support ad hoc analysis, special projects, and continuous improvement initiatives
This is a direct-hire, full-time position, hiring immediately. The schedule will be Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM. Pay is commensurate with experience, in the range of $45K to $55K annually. This company offers a full benefits package.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field
  • 3–5 years of experience in financial reporting, financial analysis, budgeting, or forecasting
  • Proven experience in a Financial Analyst or similar analytical role
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis
  • Above average Microsoft Excel skills (Lookups, IF/THEN logic, PivotTables, linking, Goal Seek, etc.)
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with financial planning software, ERP systems, or BI tools
  • Ability to communicate financial concepts clearly to non financial stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to streamline processes and improve reporting efficiency
