Job Title: Financial Analyst - Auditor
Job Type: W2 Contract - 12 months duration Location: Warren M Schedule: M - F Onsite, Tue - Thur Pay Rate: $25 - $29 per hour DOE
Position Overview
The Financial Analyst - Auditor is responsible for providing detailed financial and audit analysis to ensure the accuracy of contract pricing, supplier payments, and financial records. This role supports the organization by identifying and resolving overpayment situations, analyzing complex financial data, and ensuring contracts reflect accurate pricing structures.
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct financial analyses for detailed and time-sensitive contract reviews and pricing issues. • Investigate and determine the causes of pricing discrepancies on supplier contracts. • Drive resolution of open audit cases and facilitate collection of supplier overpayments within required timelines. • Provide financial consultation, decision support, and reporting to internal and external stakeholders. • Prepare and analyze data for reports, charts, and visual presentations. • Summarize audit findings and create detailed spreadsheets to support conclusions. • Support optimization of business plans to improve financial performance and operational efficiency. • Review and validate data accuracy and content across multiple systems and reports. • Collaborate across teams to review audit results and resolve identified variances. • Monitor and audit reports to ensure completeness and accuracy. • Perform ad-hoc analyses and special studies as requested by leadership. • Track and report on annual supplier cost recoveries and related metrics. • Assist in training, mentoring, and evaluating other analysts. • Support coordination of financial activities and projects within the department. • Participate in defining project scope, goals, and deliverables and assist with new hire selection when applicable.
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access) • Experience with ERP systems and reporting tools (e.g., GPS, MGO, PDS, E-Squared, eSAP, MARS) • Strong understanding of accounting procedures, auditing principles, and financial reporting • Familiarity with purchasing, procurement, and finance environments • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills • Ability to manage multiple audits and prioritize effectively under tight deadlines • Strong organization, planning, and data management skills • Demonstrated ability to work independently and in cross-functional global teams • Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills • Project management experience preferred
Education & Experience
• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Procurement, or related field required • CPA Certified Public Accountant or CFE Certified Fraud Examiner certification preferred • 0-2 years of relevant experience in financial analysis, auditing, or related functions
