Overview

We are seeking a detail oriented Financial Analyst to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting efforts. This role is responsible for analyzing financial performance, reconciling accounts, and delivering insights that help leadership make informed business decisions. The ideal candidate has strong accounting and finance fundamentals, advanced Excel skills, and the ability to communicate complex financial information clearly.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and reconcile financial accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Prepare and annotate variance reports to explain differences between actuals and forecasts/budgets
  • Support development of financial forecasts and budgets aligned to operating plans
  • Conduct financial analysis projects including:
    • Capital vs. expense evaluations
    • ROI analysis
    • Resource allocation analysis
    • Budget preparation and financial modeling
  • Perform research to understand the accounting and financial implications of alternative approaches
  • Analyze performance returns for accuracy and consistency
  • Communicate financial results and insights to stakeholders and management
  • Assist with special studies and statistical analyses as needed
  • Prepare clear and concise presentations and reports for leadership review

Required Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of accounting and finance principles
  • Experience with financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Working knowledge of financial management applications/systems
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to present financial insights to management in a clear, actionable manner

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting complex financial modeling and reporting
  • Background in performance analysis or investment related reporting
  • Experience conducting statistical or data driven financial studies
