Title: Financial Analyst
Location: Downers Grove, IL 60515 (100% onsite)
Hire Type: Contract to Hire
Compensation: $40-$50/hr

The Financial Analyst is responsible for analyzing daily refinery production activity, validating production yields, and ensuring accurate reporting of inventory and gross margin data. This position collects, reconciles, and maintains refinery production information within RightAngle and SAP, investigates variances, troubleshoots data issues, and prepares reports used by Operations, Finance, and Management teams. The role also supports inventory management, continuous improvement initiatives, and regulatory reporting requirements. 

Job Duties:

  • Collect, review, and reconcile daily refinery production and inventory data.
  • Manage daily yield uploads and actualizations within RightAngle and SAP.
  • Analyze refinery yields, throughput, and production performance to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
  • Investigate and resolve production, inventory, and reporting discrepancies.
  • Ensure refinery balances remain within established tolerances.
  • Prepare daily, monthly, and ad hoc reports supporting refinery operations and financial performance.
  • Partner with Operations, Scheduling, Accounting, Finance, Logistics, and IT teams to resolve data and system issues.
  • Troubleshoot SAP and RightAngle interface or reporting issues.
  • Assist with inventory audits, variance analysis, and internal controls activities.
  • Prepare and submit required EIA and other regulatory filings.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and special projects as needed

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Engineering, or a related field required.
  • 3+ years of experience in financial analysis within manufacturing
  • Experience with SAP required; exposure to RightAngle ETRM is highly preferred.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and data analysis skills.
  • Experience reconciling production, inventory, or operational data.
  • Background in refining, oil & gas, petrochemical, chemical manufacturing, energy, or other process manufacturing industries preferred.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with operations, finance, accounting, and IT teams.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work onsite in an industrial manufacturing or refinery environment.
