Job Summary
The Financial Analyst will support our multi-site manufacturing organization. This role will report to the VP of Finance while working closely with the Controller and site leadership across approximately 10 locations. The primary objective of this role is to understand the business, drive performance, and deliver actionable financial insights. This is a high-visibility position that blends financial analysis, operational partnership, and selective accounting exposure.
Job Location
This is a hybrid position based at our Easton, PA, Detroit, MI or Richmond, VA site.
Job Responsibilities
- Partner with operations and site leadership to analyze financial and operational performance across multiple manufacturing sites
- Identify trends, risks, and opportunities to drive improved business outcomes
- Translate data into insights and clearly communicate “the story behind the numbers”
- Analyze Bills of Materials (BOMs), standard costing, and production variances
- Support cost improvement initiatives and margin optimization across product lines
- Assist in evaluating, tracking, and analyzing capital investment projects
- Partner with operations to assess ROI and financial impact of investments
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and ongoing financial performance tracking
- Prepare and analyze key financial and operational metrics
- Contribute to management reporting and variance analysis
- Work closely with the VP of Finance, Controller, and plant teams to support decision-making
- Act as a business partner to operations, providing actionable and timely insights
- Support select accounting processes including month-end close, inventory, and fixed assets
- Ensure accuracy of financial data and alignment with operational drivers
- Perform special projects and analysis as needed to support leadership and strategic initiatives
Job Requirements
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field is preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset with a desire to understand how the business operates
- Advanced Excel skills required (modeling, data analysis, and working within complex spreadsheets)
- Experience in manufacturing or cost-focused environments (preferred but not required)
- Familiarity with BOMs, costing, or operations finance is a plus
- Exposure to CapEx analysis or project evaluation is a plus
- Comfort working with ERP systems and multiple data sources
- Strong communication skills with the ability to simplify complex data into clear insights
