Financial Analyst - Revenue Reporting & Analysis

Location: Greater Princeton, NJ Area ( onsite)

About the Opportunity

Our client, a growing and dynamic manufacturing company, is seeking a Financial Analyst to join their finance team. This role will focus heavily on revenue reporting, revenue analysis, forecasting, and business performance insights.

The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with large data sets to provide meaningful financial recommendations to leadership.

This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional looking to make a direct impact on business decisions through reporting, trend analysis, and financial planning activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and analyze weekly, monthly, and quarterly revenue reports

  • Monitor revenue trends, identify variances, and provide actionable insights to management

  • Develop and maintain financial models, forecasts, and dashboards

  • Partner with sales, operations, and business leaders to understand revenue drivers and business performance

  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes, including revenue projections

  • Reconcile revenue data and ensure reporting accuracy across multiple systems

  • Create executive-level reporting packages and presentations

  • Assist with month-end close activities and financial reporting requirements

  • Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes, data integrity, and financial controls

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field

  • 2+ years of financial analysis, FP&A, revenue analysis, or related experience

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including PivotTables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and financial modeling

  • Experience working with ERP systems and reporting tools

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to interpret financial data and communicate findings to non-financial stakeholders

  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or other business intelligence tools

  • Exposure to forecasting, budgeting, and KPI reporting

  • Advanced financial modeling experience

  • Knowledge of revenue recognition principles
