POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Financial Analyst II supports the operations and senior leadership on all matters financial, providing in-depth, quantitative financial analysis of the business for the purpose of making better business decisions. Additional responsibilities include budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, reporting of key performance indicators (KPIs) and issues on a consistent basis, creation of Power BI reports and dashboards, and various ad hoc projects. This position requires reading financial statements, understanding business drivers, reporting of trends affecting the business, and developing financial models providing profitability analysis to improve the financial performance as it relates to both revenue and expenses. This role is based in our Orlando, FL office.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • • Provide analytics to operations and recommend actions based on quantitative analyses.
  • • Perform weekly, monthly, quarterly, yearly comprehensive business reporting, and provide recommendations into problem areas.
  • • Evaluate financials by identifying outcomes and potential risks/opportunities.
  • • Provide creative alternatives and recommendations to reduce costs and improve financial performance.
  • • Perform general and ad hoc analysis to support company growth, profitability, and continuous improvements.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

  • • Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance, Business, or related discipline or equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • • 5+ years of experience in finance and accounting, with a minimum of 3 years of financial analytical experience with broad P&L exposure, in a multi-site business, preferably in hospitality
  • • Working knowledge of Vena or Essbase and Power BI or Tableau (SQL) required
  • o Must be able to create reports & dashboards using Power BI
  • • Mastery of MS Excel skills - complex formulas and visual graphics

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS

  • • Understanding of basic accounting
  • • Strong analytical and quantitative skills
  • • Strong computer, verbal, and written skills
  • • Ability to read, write and speak the English language to communicate effectively
  • • Ability to exercise sound judgment in evaluating situations and making decisions
  • • Leadership and organizational skills (team orientation, flexible, adaptable)
  • • Intellectual curiosity - need to have a voice, not be afraid to ask questions to anyone (Executives to field leaders)
  • • Self-starter, able to multi-task, and work well under tight deadlines and high pressure

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

  • Occasionally - on average 5% of travel on a monthly basis

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phone, copiers, faxes, and filing cabinets with daily phone communications and occasional web meeting components.

The Financial Analyst II is not limited to the above-mentioned job description and may be requested to do additional tasks as directed by MasterCorp Management.
