$65,100 - $86,800

Multiple factors, including Individual experience, skills and abilities will determine where an employee is ultimately placed in the pay range.

The Job You Will Perform:

The Mansfield Mill is seeking a Financial Analyst. Job responsibilities will include interacting with mill operations personnel on a day-to-day basis, as well as performing routine financial assignments. These assignments can include measuring progress against meeting various objectives, analyzing business results, developing an annual budget and preparing short-term forecasts. PL level will be based on candidate qualifications.

  • Actively participate as a member of a business unit.
  • Review/analyze key performance measures and variances.
  • Develop the annual budget and assure that product cost information is accurate.
  • Monthly reporting and communication of financial performance against objectives.
  • Work under the direction of the Controller in the preparation for and analysis of operational results, operating trends, customer profitability, capital projects, incentive plan calculations, budgeting & forecasting, special projects, and initiatives in order to assist management in achieving operations and management objectives.
  • Work with Controller in development and refinement of processes to improve accounting efficiencies and process documentation.
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial and operating statistical information for the identification of potential business problems and opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance of efficient internal controls on all transactions of company assets and interests, including legal, state and local taxes and insurance claims.
  • Ensure that the facility maintains accurate books and records in accordance with GAAP and that the business is conducted in compliance with established corporate, sector and division policies, procedures and practices.
  • Lead cost reduction initiatives within the finance business unit and the mill.
  • Develop tools that increase visibility of process impacts on mill financial performance and increase accuracy of monthly forecasting.
  • Facilitate the month and year-end closing, review, reconciliation and reporting processes.
  • Leverage business / manufacturing knowledge to establish reliable financial processes.
  • Collaboratively work with fellow Financial Analysts on department projects as well as participate in driving process enhancements with centralized processes &/or financial tools.
  • Performs work assignments with limited supervision
  • Accountable for various outsourced activities and processes as directed

The Qualifications, Skills and Knowledge You Will Bring:

  • BS or MS degree in Accounting, Finance or Business required
  • 2-4 years of relatable experience
  • Strong understanding of financial accounting and GAAP
  • Facility or plant experience a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Proficient in SAP a plus
  • Background or interest in Data Analytics, Analysis for Office, or Power BI a plus
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Good oral and written communication skills
