Summary:Ahospitalfinancialanalystisresponsibleforanalyzingfinancialdata,preparingreports,andprovidinginsightstoimprovethefinancialperformanceofhealthcarefacilities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
FinancialReporting:Prepareandanalyzefinancialreports,includingbudgets,forecasts,andvarianceanalysistosupportdecision-makingprocesseswithinthehospital.
DataAnalysis:Conductdetailedanalysesofspending,revenue,andfinancialtrendstoidentifycost-savingopportunitiesandenhanceprofitability.
BudgetDevelopment:Assistinthedevelopmentandmonitoringofdepartmentalbudgets,ensuringalignmentwithorganizationalgoalsandfinancialstrategies.
CostManagement:Evaluateoperationalcostsandrecommendstrategiestostreamlineexpendituresandimprovethehospital'sfinancialhealth.
Collaboration:Workcloselywithvariousdepartmentstogatherfinancialdata,provideinsights,andsupportfinancialplanninginitiatives.
Compliance:Ensureadherencetofinancialregulationsandstandards,includingGAAP(GenerallyAcceptedAccountingPrinciples)andhealthcarefinancialreportingstandards.
Clerical/General: Assist in department scanning, filing, organizing data, and document processing.
Other accounting duties and projects may be assigned.

Education/Experience/Skills: A Bachelor’sdegreeinfinance,accounting,businessadministration,orarelatedfieldis required. Previousexperienceinfinancialanalysis,particularlywithinthehealthcaresector,ispreferred. Familiaritywithhealthcarefinancialsystemsandsoftwareisadvantageous.Stronganalyticalskills,proficiencyinfinancialmodeling,andexpertiseinspreadsheetsoftware (e.g.,MicrosoftExcel)areessential.Excellentcommunicationandproblem-solvingskillsarealsoimportant.
Computer Skills: Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Accounting software, Payroll software, Internet, and Order Processing software.
Certificates and Licenses: None required; however, advanceddegreesorcertificationsmayenhancejobprospects.
