We offer a hybrid 3-2 work schedule (three days in the office, two days of teleworking) to accommodate the need for flexibility.

Job Summary

This position will support the Dominion Energy Virginia (DEV) Transmission Finance & Business Services team in achieving short-term and long-term business strategies. The role will prepare, analyze and present financial data to track and influence the execution of Electric Transmissions budgets, forecasts and regulatory filings.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Work with Electric Transmission operations to define and develop key performance metrics connecting operational with financial data to influence decision making, ensure data integrity for reporting/analytics and identify opportunities for implementing efficient and cost-effective business processes.
  • Develop and implement automated methods utilizing systems and tools, including (but are not limited to) SAP, Anaplan, CPM, Power Plan and Power Bl to track workflow and performance efficiencies.
  • Coordinate annual IRC (Investment Review Committee) packages for electric transmission capital spend budget.
  • Develop and support financial modeling for electric transmission program capital spend (facilities, IT).
  • Support and maintain components of our financial planning system {Anaplan) and where appropriate identify and troubleshoot enhancements and process improvements.
  • Support monthly forecasts and periodic updates related to updating Electric Transmissions long term budget plan.
  • Perform ad hoc financial analyses as needed to support daily operational decisions.
  • Perform other duties as requested or assigned.

There is one position available which will be filled at the level commensurate with the successful candidates education, experience, knowledge skills, and abilities.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

Financial Analyst: 2-3 years of directly related experience is required.

Senior Financial Analyst: 5+ years of directly related experience is required.

Note: A Masters degree will count as one year of experience. A partial year of related work of 6 months or greater will be considered one year of experience.

Relevant experience includes but is not limited to:

  • Knowledge and experience in financial management, analysis, forecasting, and/or accounting standards and practices (experience in utilities preferred but not required).
  • Experience in SAP, Anaplan, and/or Power Bl strongly preferred.
  • Highly skilled in Microsoft Excel and have proficiencies with other MS programs, experience with Office 365 OS and other visual tools preferred but not required.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to best interface with a diverse audience.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and demonstrating planning, organization, and a commitment to excellence.
  • Aptitude and passion for continuous learning.
  • Demonstrated flexibility to manage simultaneous assignments or priorities.
  • Ability to conduct work autonomously or with little direction, making sound financial decisions to mitigate risk, manage ambiguity, and deliver results.

Education Requirements

Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education: Bachelor
