Financial Analyst Treasury

Our client, a nonprofit organization in the Hartford area is seeking a Temp-To-Hire Financial Analyst (Treasury).

Position Summary

The Financial Analyst supports treasury, accounting, and financial operations by managing cash activity, overseeing investments, analyzing financial data, and supporting accounting processes. This role ensures accurate reporting, strong cash management, and effective internal controls.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor daily cash balances, forecasts, and liquidity needs
• Support banking transactions (wires, ACH) and account administration
• Analyze cash flow, working capital, and financial trends; prepare reports
• Assist with budgeting and provide financial insights
• Prepare journal entries, perform reconciliations, and support close processes
• Assist with audits and ensure accurate financial records
• Maintain internal controls and support process improvements

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
• 1-3 years of relevant experience
• Knowledge of cash management, accounting, and financial reporting
• Advanced Excel skills; ERP experience (e.g., Sage Intacct) preferred
