Kforce has a client in Washington, DC that is seeking a Financial Analyst. Financial Planning & Budgeting:
  • Support the development and consolidation of the annual operating budget
  • Assist with forecasting, scenario planning, and long-range financial modeling
  • Maintain and update budget models and planning tools
  • Coordinate budget inputs across departments to ensure alignment with financial targets
  • Support the transition and adoption of financial planning systems and tools
Financial Reporting & Analysis:
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc financial reports
  • Analyze financial results and provide variance analysis against budget and forecast
  • Extract, manipulate, and analyze data to support business insights and decision-making
  • Develop dashboards, reports, and data visualizations for leadership
Program/Business Unit Support:
  • Partner with business leaders to monitor financial performance and key metrics
  • Track budgets, spending, and forecasts at a departmental or program level
  • Identify trends, risks, and opportunities and provide actionable recommendations
  • Support development of budgets for new initiatives, projects, or funding opportunities
Systems & Process Improvement:
  • Assist in maintaining and improving financial planning and reporting systems (e.g., ERP, budgeting tools)
  • Support system enhancements, dashboard development, and reporting automation
  • Ensure data integrity and alignment across financial systems
  • Contribute to process improvements in budgeting, forecasting, and reporting

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • 2-4 years of experience in financial analysis, FP&A, accounting, or budgeting
  • Strong proficiency in Excel, including financial modeling and data analysis
  • Experience working with ERP and/or financial planning systems (e.g., NetSuite, Adaptive, Hyperion) preferred
  • Experience supporting budgeting and forecasting processes
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to interpret complex financial data and communicate insights clearly
  • Comfortable working with large datasets and financial systems
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Ability to partner effectively with both finance and non-finance stakeholders
  • Self-starter with a high level of accountability and autonomy

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
