$22-24/hour + depending on experience

Our client is seeking a Financial Analyst II to support the financial reporting, monitoring and data oversight of its Energy Efficiency business across three states (MA, CT and NH). The role supports residential and commercial energy efficiency channel programs, including a residential heat pump loan program, and works closely with program leadership, energy efficiency consultants and third-party vendors and lenders.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, track and analyze vendor performance data to ensure accuracy and data compliance; identify data errors and work with third-party vendors to resolve them.
• Oversee the invoicing process to ensure accuracy and alignment with reported program spending.
• Gather and analyze monthly accruals and maintain the accuracy of the accrual process.
• Coordinate contract data requirements and execution with third-party vendors and lenders.
• Monitor spending against contract and purchase order limits and work with Procurement to adjust as needed.
• Forecast contract spend against plan and coordinate program modifications with vendors.
• Support the review of energy efficiency accounting and budgeting information for completeness and accuracy, in line with corporate accounting and budgeting requirements and applicable regulatory orders.
• Support production of monthly key performance indicator and financial reports for the energy efficiency organization.
• Support development and analysis of revenue recovery sources that fund customer loan programs.
• Lead cross-functional efforts and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field (required).
• 3 or more years of experience in project finance, corporate finance, FP&A, accounting, budgeting or planning. Energy efficiency, utility or regulated-industry experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of project finance, budget reporting, data maintenance and contract or vendor oversight.
• Demonstrated ability in financial reporting, analysis and financial modeling, with a working understanding of financial statements.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel; proficiency with PowerPoint, Word and other business systems.
• Demonstrated ability to run queries and gather data from multiple systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable working with management, vendors and cross-functional teams.
• Self-directed, analytical and organized, with sound judgment and the ability to work efficiently under deadline pressure.
