Position Details

  • Location: Winter Haven, FL
  • Status: Full Time
  • Shift: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
  • Schedule: Monday through Friday
  • Work Environment: Onsite in Winter Haven, FL

Position Summary

The Financial Assistance Caseworker is responsible for identifying patients who may be eligible for financial and social assistance through various public agencies. This role includes assessing patients' financial and social situations, acting as a liaison between patients, families, and public agencies, and accurately documenting assessments and approvals. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.

Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or equivalent (required)

Experience Requirements

  • Five years of social work or public assistance experience with a high school diploma
  • OR One year of social work or public assistance experience with a bachelor's degree.
  • Preferred knowledge of community resources for unfunded or underfunded patients, including Medicaid and charity programs
