Department:                     Tax Administration            

Sub-Department:             Tax Claims Bureau

Pay Grade:                      103               

FLSA Status:                   Non-Exempt

Employment Status:        Full Time 

Reports to:                      Tax Administration Manager    

Supervises:                     N/A

Work Hours:                    8:00am- 4:30pm; this position will work and be paid for 75 hours in a 2-week pay period

Current county employees will follow the county's promotion/demotion policy.  

 

Job Summary:

To perform data entry, monetary and specialized departmental clerical duties, and responsibilities in a timely manner according to established policies and procedures.

 

Essential Job Functions: 

  • Works independently under the supervision of the Tax Administration Supervisor Manager.
  • Responds to taxpayer inquiries
  • Process tax records and payments
  • Maintains electronic and financial records
  • Reconcile accounts
  • Support delinquent tax collection and foreclosure activities
  • Prepare reports and official documentation
  • Assist staff with special projects
  • Attends meetings and training as required.

 

Minimum Requirements to Perform the Work: 

Education:

  • High school diploma plus additional training in computers, business, and accounting.   
  • Knowledge of Microsoft 365 required.
  • Must obtain knowledge of real estate taxation and collection practices.  

 

Work Experience:

  • 2 years’ working experience preferred in taxes, accounting and/or banking.
  • Work experience handling and responsibility for receiving large sums of money required.
  • Experience and knowledge of tax foreclosure document preparation preferred.
