Job Description:
The Financial & BI Analyst supports finance teams and business units by gathering, organizing, and analyzing data to produce reporting, dashboards, and financial models that improve decision-making. This role is execution-focused, building core competencies in financial analysis, BI tooling, and SQL while contributing to a collaborative analytics team.
Key Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions
- Collect, organize, and analyze financial and business data to create meaningful visualizations, presentations, and dashboards that support strategic and operational goals.
- Support the automation of financial reporting processes, including monthly and quarterly performance dashboards, using tools such as QlikSense, Anaplan, Netsuite and Excel.
- Perform financial analysis including variance analysis, budgeting support, and forecasting, integrating BI tools with financial models to contribute to planning processes.
- Develop SQL queries to extract and manipulate data from relational databases in support of ad hoc and recurring analysis.
- Identify relevant data sources, transform raw data into clean and structured datasets, and build connections between financial and operational data.
- Partner with finance teams and business units to understand recurring reporting needs and translate them into dashboard and analytical solutions.
- Capture and document business, functional, and data requirements clearly and accurately to support BI development and reporting projects.
- Assist in the execution of user acceptance testing, including running test cases and validating data accuracy in financial reports and dashboards.
- Help design, document, and maintain system and reporting processes; track and document changes to functional and business specifications.
- Participate actively in team knowledge-sharing; seek mentorship and apply learnings to continuously improve the quality and impact of analytical output.
- Perform other duties as required and assigned.
Required Qualifications
- BS/BA degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field
- 25 years of experience in financial analysis, business intelligence, or a related analytical role
- Strong analytical skills with comfort working across large datasets
- Solid Excel skills and exposure to BI tools such as Tableau, QlikSense, Power BI, or equivalent
- Familiarity with SQL or demonstrated willingness to develop proficiency
- Clear written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work across business and technical teams
- Collaborative, curious, and eager to grow in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in finance, marketing analytics, business performance reporting, or a related field
- Exposure to Anaplan or other financial planning tools
- MS/MBA degree (or currently enrolled) in a quantitative field
- Data Center or Technology industry experience
Base Pay Range: Annualized salary range offered for this position is estimated to be $85,000 - $105,000. However, the actual pay range depends on each candidates experience, location, and qualifications.
Variable Pay: Discretionary annual bonus, based on personal and company performance.
