In this role, you'll serve as an important resource for patients by assisting with registration, insurance verification, payment collection, and financial assistance information. As a trusted ambassador of Deaconess, you'll help create a welcoming environment built on courtesy, respect, empathy, dignity, and optimism while ensuring patients receive the support they need throughout their healthcare journey.

What You'll Do:

• Assist patients with registration, insurance verification, payment collection, and financial assistance resources.
• Deliver exceptional customer service while ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and hospital policies.
• Support patient access and account management through registration, financial counseling, cash handling, and administrative functions.
• Collaborate with clinical and operational teams to facilitate patient admissions and care coordination.
• Provide cross-coverage within the Access Department and perform other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience:

• Completion of High School or GED is required.
• Two to four years of experience in a physician office, hospital registration, collection agency, hospital or professional billing, or training at an educational institution that includes medical billing is required.
