We have one full-time position in our Administrative Services Division.
Purpose:
Snohomish County Human Services is hiring one qualified Financial Compliance Officer
About You:
You have the desire to provide excellent customer service to all, including internal department employees and external customers. You enjoy working with numbers, have strong analytical skills, have accounting work experience and knowledge. You pay close attention to detail and take pride in your work. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are able to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
Position Purpose:
To ensure county, state, federal financial compliance requirements are met for assigned Human Services programs. Perform timely and accurate budget preparation, financial analysis, and reporting through independent work, supported by a collaborative fiscal/administrative team and department leadership.

To perform professional financial compliance work by providing financial information, analysis and services to county, state and federal agencies.
Job Duties
Minimum Qualifications
A bachelors degree in accounting, business, finance or other field directly related to professional accounting/auditing work; PLUS, three (3) years professional level experience in a position involving accounting/financial experience; OR, any combination of training and/or experience that provides the required knowledge and abilities. Must pass job related tests.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Previous professional experience at a government agency is preferred.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
A valid Washington State Drivers License may be required for employment.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENT
Manual dexterity is required for operating computer terminals and other office equipment used in the position. Talking, seeing and hearing are required. There is some walking and sitting associated with this classification.
SUPERVISION
The employee report to an Administrative Superior and the work is performed with considerable independence and is reviewed through meetings, periodic status reports and results obtained.
WORKING CONDITIONS
The majority of the work is performed in the usual office environment and may include occasional field trips to contractor agencies throughout Snohomish County, some out of county travel may be required.
