A leading healthcare organization is looking for a Financial Controller to oversee its financial operations. The ideal candidate is a strategic, data-driven leader with a deep knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and compliance standards.

Salary + Additional Benefits:

Location: Austin, TX 78705- Primarily Remote
Type of Position: Direct Hire

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the Company’s financial operations, including monitoring revenues, expenses, and overall financial performance.
  • Lead financial planning, reporting, budgeting, accounts payable, payroll, revenue cycle operations, and administration of the Company’s 401(k) and Profit-Sharing plans.
  • Develop, maintain, and enforce finance and Accounts Payable policies, procedures, internal controls, and process improvements in collaboration with leadership.
  • Supervise the AP team, including hiring, training, mentoring, performance management, and ensuring accurate, timely payment processing and recordkeeping.
  • Promote efficient workflows and high-quality performance within the AP department.
  • Prepare and deliver timely financial reports, including P&L statements, balance sheets, budget analyses, payroll reporting, and tax support documentation.
  • Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of payroll, financial reporting, and work completed by external CPA firms and financial service providers.
  • Prepare annual budgets, forecast revenues and expenses, monitor cash flow, and recommend corrective actions when needed.
  • Manage banking activities, including account monitoring, reconciliations, loan tracking, and identifying unusual transactions.
  • Serve as a financial advisor to leadership by providing guidance on budgeting, compliance, financial management, and operational improvements.
  • Oversee financial audits and ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Communicate regularly with leadership regarding financial and operational matters and escalate significant issues as needed.
  • Provide support for special projects and perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science in Accounting required; MBA and CPA preferred
  • Accounting: 5+ years of experience
  • Management: 1+ years of experience
  • Medical Practice experience strongly preferred
