Position Summary
Job Description
Responsibilities Include:
- Oversee all accounting operations including general ledger, cost accounting, payroll, AP/AR, fixed assets, and revenue recognition
- Ensure compliance with IFRS, FAR, CAS, and other applicable government regulations
- Lead preparation of financial statements and internal management reports
- Manage and coordinate annual audits, DCAA audits, and other regulatory reviews
- Maintain and enhance internal controls in accordance with best practices and regulatory requirements
- Support standard cost development, variance analysis, and bill of materials (BOM) accuracy
- Monitor work-in-process (WIP), inventory valuation, and overhead allocations
- Analyze production costs and provide actionable insights to operations and business leadership
- Support the VP of Finance in the preparation of the 5 Year Strategic Plan and the annual budget
- Oversee indirect rate calculations and submissions (Forward pricing rates, incurred cost submissions)
- Lead and develop the accounting team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
- Drive ERP optimization and financial system improvements
Required Skills:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting.
- 10+ years of related accounting experience with 5+ years supervisory/manager experience.
- 5+ years manufacturing experience.
- Strong understanding of cost accounting, inventory controls, and production accounting
- Experience managing audits
- This position requires either a US Person or a non-US Person who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization.
- Highest ethical standards and integrity
Desired Skills:
- Should possess strong communication and executive presence
- Strong MS Office skills with expert-level knowledge in financial reporting systems (Epicor and/or Onestream a plus)
- Strategic financial acumen
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills for monitoring accounting records and resolving accounting problems.
- Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned
