Financial Controller

Our client, a leading architectural structures company is actively searching for a Financial Controller for their Conyers, GA operation. This is a direct hire position and a fantastic opportunity to join a growing industry leader.

Responsibilities:

Oversees financial activities for two offices.
Evaluates internal accounting procedures and systems.
Responsible for training Accounting/Office Managers as required.
Responsible for prioritizing the activities of the Accounting/Office Managers to provide timely and accurate reports regarding the financial condition of the company.
Ensures that all sales / use tax filings and other financial related matters, such as annual audits, are performed as needed.
Assist with any local, state or Federal audits and the interface between the company and external auditors.

Qualifications:

5+ years of hands-on experience in roles such as cost accountant, internal auditor, or senior accountant.
Experience managing an accounting or office team
Must be well-versed at handling sales / use tax filings promptly
Internal and External audit experience
Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business Administration
Manufacturing and/or Construction industry experience is a plus
