Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Financial Controller to lead our accounting and financial reporting functions. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in public accounting, preferably with experience at a top public accounting firm (Big Four or nationally recognized firm), and has successfully transitioned into corporate finance. This role requires exceptional technical accounting knowledge, leadership skills, and the ability to drive financial accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
Oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and fixed assets.
Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
Manage budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and financial planning activities.
Develop and maintain strong internal controls and accounting policies.
Coordinate annual financial statement audits and serve as the primary liaison with external auditors.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations and financial reporting requirements.
Analyze financial performance and provide strategic recommendations to executive leadership.
Improve accounting processes, systems, and reporting efficiencies.
Supervise and mentor the accounting team while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Support mergers, acquisitions, due diligence, and other strategic initiatives as needed.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
CPA designation required.
Minimum 7–10 years of progressive accounting experience, including experience with a top public accounting firm (Big Four preferred).
Experience in a Controller, Assistant Controller, or Accounting Manager role within a corporate environment.
Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
Experience managing audits and working with external auditors.
Advanced proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and leadership skills.
Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
