Financial Coordinator

DoveLewis Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Hospital is hiring a Financial Coordinator 1 to join our hospital support team. We are currently hiring for day shifts.

In this role, you'll play a key part in supporting our medical team-ensuring accuracy in client billing, preparing detailed cost estimates, and guiding clients through payment options with empathy and professionalism. Your work will help our team provide the best possible care while maintaining transparency and trust with every client we serve.

Job duties will include, but are not limited to:

• Audit and verify client charges for accuracy.
• Prepare and update cost-of-care estimates.
• Process client and hospital payments.
• Review invoices and resolve routine billing issues.
• Track missed charges and help improve financial workflows.
• Communicate payment options and financial updates to clients.
• Assist with special projects and administrative support.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service, finance, or a veterinary/medical setting preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism.
• Comfortable using accounting software and Microsoft Office.

Education and Experience

• General knowledge of billing, accounts receivable and payment processing.
• Minimum of two years of experience working in customer service, with customer accounts, medical billing or equivalent.
• Experience in a veterinary facility and/or familiarity with veterinary terminology, medications, procedures a bonus!
