    SUMMARY OF POSITION:

    The Financial Counselor II is expected to perform all functions of the Financial Counselor Level I at the Successful to Exceptional level. Financial Counselor II provides advanced level of support including onsite clinic tasks, attend outreach events and Federal certification (CAC) which eases patient fiscal concerns by helping the patient to secure the appropriate financial resources for his financial situation. Without this assistance, patients can experience tremendous stress and anxiety regarding the financial component of their clinical care. The Financial Counselor supports the Revenue Cycle stream by responding to patient inquiries as well as proactively identifying accounts at risk for non-payment and contacting patients to initiate the financial counseling process.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):

    • Certified Application Counselor
    • Associate's Degree required
    • Two (2) years of related experience required.
    • Medical health insurance knowledge
    • Knowledge of medical terminology
    • Revenue Cycle experience
