A financial services organization is seeking an experienced regulatory reporting professional to support the preparation, analysis, review, and submission of financial and regulatory reports. This position will work closely with Treasury, internal departments, auditors, and regulatory stakeholders to ensure reporting is accurate, timely, and compliant with applicable requirements.
The role also includes monitoring regulatory ratios, maintaining reporting procedures, and supporting the technology used to prepare and submit regulatory information.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare, review, analyze, and file regulatory reports and related documentation accurately and within required deadlines.
Coordinate with internal departments, branches, non-branch entities, and centralized teams to gather information and ensure timely regulatory submissions.
Compile and review data and supporting materials for audits, regulatory examinations, and information requests.
Analyze regulatory reporting data and prepare responses to questions from regulators and auditors.
Maintain current regulatory reporting policies, procedures, and documentation.
Monitor changes to regulatory requirements and incorporate applicable updates into reporting processes.
Calculate and review daily regulatory ratios and related compliance measures.
Prepare and monitor calculations related to asset maintenance, capital equivalency deposits, pledged assets, and other applicable regulatory requirements.
Coordinate distribution and documentation of daily eligible asset reporting with Treasury and other stakeholders.
Prepare, review, and analyze monthly regulatory ratio reports to support timely regulatory filings.
Work with Treasury and relevant business partners to ensure pledged securities and related transactions are completed in accordance with regulatory requirements.
Support regulatory reporting software, including system updates, testing, data mapping, and issue resolution.
Coordinate with software consultants and internal stakeholders to investigate and resolve reporting-system or mapping issues.
Maintain accurate records supporting regulatory reporting and related control processes.
QUALIFICATIONS
5+ years of professional experience in financial and/or regulatory reporting.
Bachelor's degree required.
Master's degree or MBA in Accounting or Finance preferred.
CPA certification preferred.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong technical knowledge of accounting and financial reporting.
Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and regulatory reporting requirements.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including VBA and PivotTables.
Working knowledge of SQL and databases.
Experience working with regulatory reporting software and related data systems.
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage deadline-driven reporting requirements.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively across departments and respond to audit or regulatory inquiries.
Chinese bilingual skills preferred.
