The City of Doncaster Council is a confident, ambitious organisation which puts improving the life of its residents at the centre of everything we do. You have an opportunity to be part of this in the role of Financial Management Student Internship.
We are offering a 9-12 month work internship placement for a undergraduate student to gain financial management skills and experience whilst working as part of a strong and supportive team. This will include assisting in the provision of high quality administration, supporting with the annual cycle of preparing and monitoring revenue and capital budgets and closing the accounts
The placement is aimed at students in their second or third year who are required to take time out from their studies to gain the necessary relevant experience to support their course. Students will preferably be studying a finance based degree or relevant course e.g. economics, public services, finance and policy and have achieved a 2:1 or higher in their first year of study. The ideal candidate will have excellent organisational and ICT skills with the ability to establish positive relationships and communicate effectively.
