Administrative & Technical Support Specialist

A public energy organization is seeking a Financial & Technical Operations Specialist to provide advanced support to Finance leadership and department staff. This role supports the Finance Vice President and direct reports by coordinating complex administrative activity, preparing department materials, tracking corrective actions, supporting budget and procurement processes, and helping keep department operations organized, compliant, and on schedule.

The best fit for this role is a highly organized administrative or technical support professional who has supported senior leaders, handled confidential information, tracked action items, worked with procurement or contract documentation, and operated well in a structured, compliance-focused environment. This position requires strong judgment, follow-through, communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities with limited supervision.

Compensation & Benefits

Pay rate: $30.00 to $47.75 per hour- Depends on experience and industry experience

Schedule: Monday through Thursday, 4x10 schedule

Assignment length: Yearlong contract with ability to renew multiple years

Work arrangement: Onsite

Location: Richland, WA

Washington paid sick leave applies. Eligible employees accrue paid sick leave at a minimum rate of one hour for every 40 hours worked. Responsibilities

Provide advanced administrative and technical support to Finance leadership, including the Finance Vice President and direct reports.

Prepare agendas, meeting materials, daily briefing packages, reports, memoranda, correspondence, and meeting minutes.

Attend department meetings to document decisions, action items, follow-up commitments, and ownership.

Track corrective action and action request items to ensure deadlines are met, reminders are issued, and closure support is provided.

Maintain department status reports and identify trends, risks, or items needing leadership attention.

Support department budgeting, reconciliation, procurement requests, contract requisitions, and change requests.

Serve as a credit card program administrator by tracking, authorizing, and reconciling purchases, supplies, subscriptions, and related department needs.

Coordinate calendars, meetings, training sessions, personnel schedules, recurring training, and qualification assignments.

Support onboarding, site access, SSIS in-processing, and logistics for employees, contractors, and visitors.

Administer department travel, booking coordination, and expense reimbursement support in accordance with policy.

Maintain records, files, proprietary information, and sensitive documents according to records management standards.

Support contract preparation and processing for Finance.

Identify opportunities to improve department coordination, communication, reporting, and administrative processes.

Support Emergency Response Organization assignments, outage readiness activities, safety meeting attendance, and required job-related training as assigned.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.

Minimum of five years of administrative or technical support experience required.

Experience supporting senior leaders, managers, or department leadership teams.

Experience with corrective action tracking, action item follow-up, reporting, or deadline-driven administrative coordination.

Knowledge of records management standards and proprietary document controls.

Experience preparing or processing procurement requests, contract requisitions, change requests, or similar business documentation.

Familiarity with managed service provider program documentation is helpful.

Strong organization, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to research information, interpret data, identify trends, and recommend practical solutions.

Ability to handle confidential information and sensitive documentation with discretion.

Ability to work onsite in Richland, WA on a Monday-Thursday 4x10 schedule.

Must be able to meet site access and onboarding requirements.
