Position Summary:

We are seeking a driven, self-motivated Senior Financial Operations Specialist to join a fast-paced corporate finance department. Reporting directly to the executive finance leadership team, this high-visibility role manages full-cycle billing, accounts receivable (AR), and accounts payable (AP) processes across multiple expanding corporate business lines.The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver who excels in customer-facing financial functions, thrives in a high-volume environment, and can independently navigate complex account escalations. This role requires an individual who can work with high autonomy while seamlessly collaborating with internal teams, offering a strong path toward formal leadership or supervisory responsibilities as the department scales.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Operations Execution: Manage and streamline day-to-day corporate financial processes, including high-volume customer billing, invoicing, AR collections, and AP workflows.
  • Client & Vendor Relations: Act as a primary, customer-facing point of contact for corporate client billing discrepancies, vendor inquiries, and account reconciliations, providing top-tier service.
  • Escalation Management: Independently handle, troubleshoot, and resolve complex billing disputes or invoicing hurdles, utilizing critical thinking to find swift resolutions.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with internal operations and account management teams to ensure data integrity, timely billing, and accurate reporting across different business units.
  • Process Improvement: Demonstrate a high level of initiative by identifying operational bottlenecks and proactively recommending workflow efficiencies.
  • Leadership & Mentorship: Serve as an informal supervisor or team lead, mentoring junior staff and assisting with workload distribution as the organization continues to grow.


Qualifications & Experience:

  • Experience: 3 to 7 years of dedicated experience in a fast-paced, high-volume corporate billing, AR, or AP role.
  • Industry Focus: Prior experience within transportation, logistics, distribution, or supply chain is ideal, but candidates from other high-volume, fast-paced service sectors (such as corporate manufacturing or tech) are highly encouraged to apply.
  • Communication & Soft Skills: Exceptional communication skills with a proven track record in a client-facing accounting/finance capacity. Strong negotiation and conflict-resolution skills are required.
  • Leadership Background: Prior experience as a Team Lead, Supervisor, or a demonstrated readiness to step into a leadership capacity is highly preferred.
  • Core Attributes: Highly driven, self-motivated, and comfortable operating in an entrepreneurial, fast-moving environment. Must be able to pivot quickly, work independently without micromanagement, and contribute effectively to a cohesive team environment.
