Job Description
Overview
Supports day‑to‑day financial operations by performing routine to moderately complex transactions across accounts payable, payroll support, travel processing, and general ledger reconciliation. This role ensures accurate financial records, provides customer assistance, and supports internal financial procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Process a range of financial transactions, including payables, reimbursements, and accountings.
- Review source documents and reconcile general ledger and bank accounts; correct routine discrepancies.
- Monitor financial activity and incoming/outgoing funding; update financial data in enterprise systems.
- Support managers and team members with financial procedures, documentation requirements, and policy interpretation.
- Provide customer service for routine financial inquiries and escalate complex issues when needed.
- Assist with commitments and obligations and help ensure unused funds are appropriately cleared.
- Generate financial reports and support system testing, data validation, and troubleshooting.
- Provide user assistance for financial systems and support basic training or guidance.
- Maintain compliance with organizational financial standards and record‑keeping requirements.
Skills & Competencies
- Knowledge of GAAP and standard accounting practices.
- Ability to understand and apply organizational financial policies and procedures.
- Familiarity with financial systems and data‑quality processes.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills for responding to customer inquiries.
- Ability to resolve routine financial issues and adapt to changing priorities.
Minimum Qualifications
Experience: At least 2 years of experience in financial records processing or financial operations.
Education: Associate degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
