Position Overview
We are seeking a
Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Analyst to support financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic analysis across the organization. This role will provide meaningful exposure to business performance, treasury operations, fleet management, sales compensation, and executive decision support.
The ideal candidate is a
data-first finance professional who combines strong FP&A fundamentals with advanced technical skills in
SQL, Power BI, and Excel. This person will help automate manual reporting, improve visibility into business performance, and translate complex financial data into actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Planning & Analysis
Support the annual budgeting process, forecast updates, and scenario planning.
Prepare monthly and quarterly management reporting packages and variance analyses.
Analyze financial and operational performance against budget, forecast, and prior periods.
Develop financial models supporting new product launches, pricing decisions, profitability analysis, and other business cases.
Conduct ad hoc financial analysis to support leadership decision-making.
Prepare financial analysis and materials for executive-level presentations.
Business Intelligence & Reporting
Design, build, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards tracking financial, operational, and performance KPIs.
Use SQL to extract, combine, and analyze data from multiple systems and data sources.
Leverage DAX, Power Query, and data modeling to develop sophisticated reporting solutions.
Identify opportunities to automate recurring financial reports and manual processes.
Utilize AI and other emerging tools to improve reporting efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
Translate complex datasets into clear insights for finance and non-finance stakeholders.
Business & Operational Analysis
Review sales performance and support sales compensation and incentive analysis.
Analyze fleet expenses, including leasing, fuel, maintenance, and utilization.
Identify opportunities to improve fleet efficiency and control costs.
Partner with business stakeholders to understand performance drivers and provide actionable financial recommendations.
Treasury Support
Assist with cash flow forecasting and liquidity management.
Support treasury reporting and analysis.
Assist with banking relationships and other treasury-related activities as needed.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
3+ years of progressive FP&A, corporate finance, or related experience.
Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including financial modeling, complex/nested formulas, pivot tables, and advanced data analysis.
Proficiency in SQL, including extracting data and joining multiple data sets.
Demonstrated experience developing complex Power BI reports and dashboards.
Working knowledge of DAX, Power Query, and data modeling.
Experience with cash flow modeling or treasury operations.
Experience working with ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, or similar platforms.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to communicate complex financial and data-driven insights to non-financial stakeholders.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt quickly to changing business needs.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience automating financial reporting or business intelligence processes.
Practical experience using AI tools to automate or improve finance workflows.
Experience with sales compensation or commission analysis.
Experience analyzing fleet-related costs and operational performance.
Exposure to executive-level financial reporting and presentations.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The strongest candidate will bring a combination of
traditional FP&A expertise and modern data analytics capabilities. This is not simply an Excel-based financial analyst positionthe successful candidate should be comfortable working directly with data, building dashboards, and creating scalable reporting solutions.
SQL and Power BI experience should be considered key screening criteria, along with at least three years of hands-on FP&A or corporate finance experience. The right person will be analytical, curious, technically capable, and able to turn financial and operational data into clear recommendations for leadership.
