Position Summary:
This hybrid role encompasses two different areas of responsibility including FP&A support to the CFO and senior leadership team and management of State of Ohio auxiliary funds for the Principal. Possibility exists to take on additional perfecting responsibilities for the right candidate.
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
 
FP&A Activities
  • Assist CFO and Controller in preparation of annual budget; take lead in developing 5 year projections on the back of the annual budget
  • Track contributions, pledges and pledge payments to the School’s 5 Year Capital Campaign, working closely with Gift Processing (Advancement Department). Reconcile capital campaign cash on hand each month based on cash collected and bills paid
  • Work closely with the CFO to support financing of School reconstruction efforts, including short and long term debt issuance
  • Maintain records of all individual endowment accounts, reconciling balances in Fund Driver with Advancement and Accounting records
  • Assist Advancement team in preparing individual endowment fund report cards to support donor engagement
  • Make necessary endowment accounting entries each month
  • Determine annual draw from School endowment
  • Support the Investment Committee of the Board of Trustees in their work managing the School endowment and OCIO
  • Support budgeting, reporting and analysis of Athletics revenue & spend, including Boosters
    • Track 4 pay-to-play sports monthly
    • All other sports quarterly
  • Maintain faculty pay scale analysis (annually)
  • Support other financial analysis and projects as needed
 
Auxiliary Funds Activities
  • Administer and monitor Ohio Department of Education (ODE) funds, ensuring compliance with all state guidelines and funding requirements.
  • Coordinate with academic departments and support areas to identify instructional and technology resource needs.
  • Research vendors, obtain pricing and quotes, and assist departments in selecting cost-effective products and services.
  • Manage the purchasing process from quote requests through order placement, receipt, and distribution of materials.
  • Review and process vendor quotes, purchase orders, invoices, and related documentation for accuracy and approval.
  • Maintain vendor relationships and communicate with suppliers regarding pricing, orders, and billing.
  • Create and manage purchase orders, bills, vendor records, and account information within QuickBooks, ensuring proper documentation and approval workflows.
  • Create and maintain monthly spending reports, tracking expenditures and providing spending summaries and financial updates to school administration.

Education, Experience, and Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor’s degree and/or 2-5 years’ experience in a related discipline (e.g., finance, accounting, statistics) is preferred
  • Desire to work in a mission-oriented organization, with a particular emphasis on forming young men into future leaders
  • Knowledge of Quickbooks and Competence in Microsoft Office including Intermediate to advanced skills in using Excel and other analytic software, including AI tools
