Financial Reporting Manager

ABOUT THE ROLE

A leading financial services organization is seeking a Financial Reporting Manager to oversee regulatory and public-company financial reporting for a banking organization. This role will have primary responsibility for quarterly and annual regulatory filings, including FFIEC Call Reports, FR Y-9C, FR Y-9LP, Basel III calculations, and other required regulatory submissions.

The position will also support SEC reporting, including quarterly and annual financial statements and related filings, technical accounting research, accounting position papers, and external audit coordination. The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in U.S. GAAP and general ledger accounting, significant regulatory reporting experience, and the ability to manage complex reporting requirements under tight deadlines.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage preparation and review of regulatory filings, including FFIEC Call Reports, FR Y-9C, and FR Y-9LP.
• Oversee Basel III calculations and other applicable regulatory submissions.
• Manage quarterly and annual financial reporting processes for a publicly traded organization.
• Support preparation of SEC filings, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K.
• Research technical accounting matters and interpret new accounting standards.
• Prepare accounting position papers and documentation supporting complex accounting conclusions.
• Coordinate with external auditors and internal stakeholders throughout quarterly reviews and annual audits.
• Review financial data and general ledger activity to identify discrepancies and ensure reporting accuracy.
• Maintain and improve regulatory and financial reporting processes, controls, and procedures.
• Utilize regulatory and financial reporting systems to facilitate accurate and timely submissions.
• Support XBRL tagging, EDGAR filing processes, and related reporting requirements.
• Provide ad hoc financial analysis and reporting support to Finance leadership.
