Financial Reporting Manager | Irvine, CA
We are partnering with a growing, private equity-backed services organization to identify a Financial Reporting Manager for its Irvine-based finance team.
This is a unique opportunity for someone who enjoys operating at the intersection of financial reporting, multi-entity consolidations, technical accounting, and process improvement.
The company has grown through acquisition and operates across multiple legal entities and service locations. The Financial Reporting Manager will help strengthen the monthly consolidation and reporting process while building a more consistent and scalable reporting environment.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual GAAP financial statements at the entity and consolidated levels
Lead the financial reporting calendar and monthly close reporting process
Consolidate financial results across multiple entities, locations, and systems
Prepare and maintain audited financial statement footnotes and disclosures
Serve as a key liaison with external auditors and manage audit requests
Research and document complex or non-routine accounting matters
Prepare bank covenant, lender, and private equity sponsor reporting
Support cash forecasting, liquidity reporting, and limited treasury activities
Partner with accounting and operations to identify and resolve underlying reporting issues
Standardize reporting templates and improve the close-to-report process
Help evaluate and implement improved consolidation, reporting, or business-intelligence tools
Ideal Background
CPA designation
Seven or more years of progressive accounting and financial reporting experience
Strong multi-entity consolidation experience
Advanced Excel skills and the ability to work with complex or imperfect data
Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial statement disclosures
Experience supporting external audits
Public accounting experience strongly preferred
Experience in a PE-backed, acquisitive, or multi-location organization is highly desirable
Exposure to lender reporting, covenant calculations, cash forecasting, or sponsor reporting is beneficial
Strong communication skills and a process-improvement mindset
