    Description

Financial Reporting Manager | Irvine, CA

We are partnering with a growing, private equity-backed services organization to identify a Financial Reporting Manager for its Irvine-based finance team.

This is a unique opportunity for someone who enjoys operating at the intersection of financial reporting, multi-entity consolidations, technical accounting, and process improvement.

The company has grown through acquisition and operates across multiple legal entities and service locations. The Financial Reporting Manager will help strengthen the monthly consolidation and reporting process while building a more consistent and scalable reporting environment.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual GAAP financial statements at the entity and consolidated levels
    • Lead the financial reporting calendar and monthly close reporting process
    • Consolidate financial results across multiple entities, locations, and systems
    • Prepare and maintain audited financial statement footnotes and disclosures
    • Serve as a key liaison with external auditors and manage audit requests
    • Research and document complex or non-routine accounting matters
    • Prepare bank covenant, lender, and private equity sponsor reporting
    • Support cash forecasting, liquidity reporting, and limited treasury activities
    • Partner with accounting and operations to identify and resolve underlying reporting issues
    • Standardize reporting templates and improve the close-to-report process
    • Help evaluate and implement improved consolidation, reporting, or business-intelligence tools

    Ideal Background

    • CPA designation
    • Seven or more years of progressive accounting and financial reporting experience
    • Strong multi-entity consolidation experience
    • Advanced Excel skills and the ability to work with complex or imperfect data
    • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial statement disclosures
    • Experience supporting external audits
    • Public accounting experience strongly preferred
    • Experience in a PE-backed, acquisitive, or multi-location organization is highly desirable
    • Exposure to lender reporting, covenant calculations, cash forecasting, or sponsor reporting is beneficial
    • Strong communication skills and a process-improvement mindset

This role is particularly well suited for someone who has strong technical accounting fundamentals but also wants broader exposure to operations, senior leadership, systems improvement, and the financial reporting needs of a growing organization.
