WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Represent borrowers, lenders, financial institutions, and corporate clients in syndicated credit facilities and leveraged finance transactions.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate credit agreements, loan documents, security agreements, and related financing documentation.
  • Lead transaction execution from initial structuring through closing.
  • Advise clients on complex financing strategies, risk allocation, and regulatory considerations.
  • Collaborate with attorneys across Corporate, Tax, Real Estate, and Financial Services practices on integrated transactions.
  • Manage multiple sophisticated financing transactions while delivering exceptional client service.
  • Build and maintain trusted client relationships through practical, business-focused legal counsel.
  • Mentor junior attorneys and contribute to the continued growth of the practice.

WHAT MAKES YOU A GREAT FIT

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited U.S. law school.
  • 4-7 years of transactional legal experience with a focus on banking, finance, leveraged finance, syndicated lending, or financial services transactions.
  • Significant experience drafting and negotiating complex financing documents.
  • Excellent analytical, drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Strong client relationship and project management abilities.
  • Licensed in North Carolina or eligible for admission.

Preferred

  • Graduate of a Top 30 U.S. law school.
  • GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Experience practicing at an Am Law 200 firm.
  • Experience representing financial institutions, corporate borrowers, or private equity sponsors.
  • Strong academic credentials and demonstrated leadership abilities.
  • Experience mentoring junior attorneys or leading transaction teams.
