The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.
Responsibilities:
The MAG Manager of Financial Services is responsible for all aspects of MAG's Financial Planning, Forecasting and Analysis functions. Oversees and manages the annual budget process, developing, designing and coordinating quarterly, annual and ad hoc financial reporting, variance analysis, preparing presentation materials, monitoring, reporting and oversight of gifts and endowments Utilizing the support of the Accountant 2. to meet specific management needs; coordinating data collection for reporting to University officials and supporting Senior administration with Strategic Planning. The functional title at the MAG is Director of Finance will be responsible for analyzing performance and risk and retaining a constant awareness of the division's financial position through timely monthly reports and reviews for both internal and GAAP reporting with the University. Cross training is essential and cost effective for a company the size of the MAG.
Accountable for ensuring the financial integrity of the general ledger; including operating, capital, specific purpose and reserve accounts. Responsible for implementation and monitoring of internal audit procedures. Supervisor of Accountant II & Bookkeeper. Develop and execute goals and cross training for the MAG Finance, Grants, Revenue Generating areas and the HR Administrator.
Financial liaison between the Directors' Office, and other operational departments within MAG, as well as the University Central offices including, but not limited to Budget Office, Audit, Central Advancement and other financial administrators in other areas within the University.
Provide overall support to the Director & COO/Deputy Director for all financial initiatives, special projects, evaluate risks and make recommendations for the MAG. Serve as a singular point of contact for best financial practices with a focus on crucial organizational objectives.
Responsible for the development and implementation of financial plans with measurable fiscal
results in support of the MAG strategic plan. Simplifying and streamlining all functions of the department being a priority. Attentive to revenue generating and cost saving initiatives.
Supports MAG Leadership regarding Gallery policies and goals; makes recommendations and responsible for implementation for policies related to financials.
