Financial Services Representative

The law office of Kaufman Dolowich is seeking a Financial Services Representative to join our dynamic team! This individual will develop and execute strategies on collections, through collaboration with our client service teams while resolving any payment disputes or issues. This fully remote position will work closely with attorneys, staff and clients.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Review and reconcile billing, AR, WIP data to identify discrepancies, assess risk, and support collections
• Develop and implement collection strategies to improve cash flow and reduce outstanding receivables
• Communicate with clients regarding outstanding invoices, payment status, and billing inquiries
• Investigate and resolve billing issues, payment disputes, and account variances
• Monitor electronic billing submissions and prepare AR and collections reports
• Maintain accurate account records, collection notes, and follow-up activities
• Negotiate payment arrangements and escalate issues as needed in accordance with firm policies
• Collaborate with management and internal stakeholders to improve processes and support departmental initiatives
• Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent experience with college-level accounting coursework
• At least 3 years of collections experience in a professional services firm
• Experience with insurance carriers and knowledge of SIRs/deductibles strongly preferred
• Experience with BillBlast and Aderant highly preferred
• Strong attention to detail, ability to work independently, and excellent follow-through
• Strong analytical skills; intermediate Excel skills (V-Lookup, Pivot Tables) required
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with attorneys, staff, and clients
• Strong ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage competing deadline

Expected Salary Range: $65,000 - $85,000

Actual compensation will be determined based on market location, as well as the candidate's experience, skills, and job-related qualifications. Base salary represents just one component of the comprehensive Total Rewards package offered by Kaufman Dolowich.
