The Division's number one consumer protection is financial solvency of companies, and we're seeking a qualified individual to join the team providing oversight and direction of the financial analysis process for insurance companies based in South Dakota.
What Does This Position Do?
The Financial Specialist position analyzes the financial status of insurance companies operating in South Dakota. You would be communicating with companies and working with Division staff to determine potential future financial and non-financial risks of insurance companies and their affiliates.

A bachelor's degree in business, economics, accounting, statistics or similar from an accredited college or university is preferred. Individuals with financial examination experience and/or a proven track record in financial or credit analysis in lieu of insurance experience are encouraged to apply.
No licenses or certifications are required, but PIR, AFE, CFE, CPA CPCU, AIAF, or similar designations are preferred.
