A leading middle-market or bulge-bracket investment bank may seek a Financial Sponsors Analyst to support financial sponsor and private equity clients in M&A, leveraged buyouts (LBOs), recapitalizations, and other sponsor-backed transactions. These roles are ideal for candidates seeking rigorous analytical work, exposure to sponsor-driven deals, and structured professional development in the private equity and investment banking ecosystem.
Build and maintain financial models (3-statement, DCF, LBO, accretion/dilution) for sponsor-backed transactions
Conduct industry research, benchmarking, and valuation analyses to support private equity clients
Assist in executing leveraged buyouts, recapitalizations, and M&A deals sponsored by financial investors
Prepare pitch books, investment memoranda, and client presentations tailored to financial sponsors
Support due diligence, data room management, and transaction execution for sponsor-led deals
Collaborate with senior bankers and sponsor coverage teams on deal strategy and client engagement
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, or a related discipline
Strong analytical skills with expertise in financial modeling, LBO modeling, and valuation techniques
Knowledge of private equity structures, sponsor-backed transactions, and leveraged finance is a plus
Excellent quantitative, research, and communication abilities
Ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced, deal-driven environment
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Prior internship or full-time experience in investment banking, private equity, consulting, or corporate finance is beneficial
Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and financial research tools
