The Financial Systems Analyst is responsible for supporting, enhancing, and maintaining the company's financial systems with a focus on Oracle Cloud ERP. This role serves as a key liaison between Finance, Accounting, and IT teams to ensure system integrity, optimize business processes, and drive continuous improvement within financial applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary administrator and functional expert for Oracle Cloud Financials, including modules such as General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Procurement, and Projects.
  • Support system configuration, maintenance, upgrades, and integrations related to financial systems.
  • Perform system testing for enhancements, patches, and upgrades to ensure data accuracy and proper functionality.
  • Manage security roles, user access, and workflow approvals within Oracle Cloud.
  • Identify opportunities for process automation and continuous improvement within financial operations.
  • Provide end-user training and create documentation for system procedures and best practices.
  • Utilize troubleshooting skills to identify issues, analyze options and provide or suggest solutions that will provide the best solution for the Company.
  • Monitor interface emails, interface results, or reports to ensure that interface files are being distributed or consumed as per design.
  • Perform SOX controls or necessary reporting on scheduled basis to ensure company policies and procedures are followed appropriately.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 3-5+ years of experience supporting financial systems, with at least 2 years of hand-on Oracle Cloud Financials experience.
  • Strong understanding of core accounting principles and financial processes.
  • Experience with reporting tools such as OTBI, BI Publisher, Smart View, or FRS.
  • Familiarity with integrations and data flows between Oracle and other enterprise systems.
  • Proficient in Excel, SQL, and other data analysis tools.
  • Excellent analytical skills, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Good leadership, inter-personal and motivational skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with all levels of management, end-users, and peers
  • Basic understanding of databases and standard file layouts for conversions and interfaces
