JobTitle: Financial Systems Business Analyst

Position Overview

The BusinessAnalyst will support a large-scale financial system modernization initiativeinvolving the replacement of legacy accounting and cash management systems witha modern enterprise solution. This role is responsible for analyzing impacts tointernal accounting systems, documenting business processes, coordinating withSubject Matter Experts (SMEs), and ensuring systems are tested and ready forproduction implementation.

The BusinessAnalyst will work closely with program leadership and cross-functional teams toensure continuity of financial operations during system transition.

 

KeyResponsibilities

  • Facilitate workshops and working sessions with SMEs and stakeholders
  • Analyze impacts of system changes on accounting processes and related business systems
  • Document business processes, business requirements, and technical process crosswalks
  • Create and maintain Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM)
  • Develop detailed use cases, test cases, and test plans
  • Perform functional, integration, regression, and ad hoc testing
  • Execute quality assurance testing to identify and document defects
  • Document and manage defects using JIRA
  • Provide daily and periodic status reporting
  • Maintain project artifacts including:
    • Issue logs
    • Change logs
    • Decision logs
    • Action item registers
    • Lessons learned documentation
  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
  • Assist in train-the-trainer knowledge transfer
  • Collaborate with Developers, Functional Analysts, and Testers to deliver scalable solutions
  • Support solutions leveraging Oracle eBusiness Suite (eBS) and related technologies

 

RequiredExperience & Skills

  • Minimum 5%2B years of experience as a Business Analyst
  • Experience on large-scale enterprise software implementations
  • Extensive knowledge of Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN)
  • Strong experience in business requirements gathering and documentation
  • Proven ability in test strategy design and defect identification
  • Hands-on experience with multiple test methodologies
  • Experience using JIRA for defect tracking and resolution management
  • Strong meeting facilitation skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Ability to deliver assignments on schedule and with high quality

 

PreferredQualifications

  • Masters Degree in a related field
  • Experience with MS Project and MS Visio
  • Professional certifications such as:
    • ECBA
    • CCBA
    • CBAP
    • PBA Certification
    • Certificate in Business Data Analytics

 

ComplianceRequirements

  • Completion of Security Awareness Training within 30 days of engagement
  • Successful completion of a Level II Background Check
